Mt. Olympics is my second attempt to incorporate columns in a piece. While watching the winter Olympics and thinking about Greece and Post Modern architecture, I saw modern day skiers slaloming through ancient columns. I made the skiers out of chikenwire and embroidered the diagonal stripes to go with the woven columns. The pieces are all flat and can be rolled up. The columns can also be sold separately as architectural accessories for the home that doesn't have room for the Parthenon. The artwork was exhibited in the Lausanne Biennial, Switzerland in 1987.
