Sea Saw is a fabric which I designed that was then woven on a jacquard loom at Müller/Zell Mill in Germany as part of the Jacquard Project: Art & Industry in l991.  Five artists from around the world were invited to create designs for state of the art computerized jacquard looms with a 39" x 27" repeat.  Returning from a teaching trip to Australia, where I had the thrill of scuba diving for the first time in my life, my head was swimming with brightly colored fish. What better idea than to capture the underwater wonder in a fabric design? After the project the mill agreed to weave a limited edition of 150 meters which have all gone to private, corporate and museum collections including the Smithsonian's Cooper Hewitt Museum, New York, the Oakland Museum, CA, and the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, CA.
